Are you ever faced after one day writing the second day you are blank?

Struggling with content ideas.

Writing unconsciously, not getting the engagement that you want.

Not able to reach the goal, not able to find where I am doing wrong.

And your content creation looks like writing editing and publishing.

If you are also in this vicious circle then this framework going to help you get out of this circle.

5 Steps → Content Creation Framework

Building a Content Creation Framework

Struggling with Content Ideas: FIRST

This is my favorite step because I struggle a lot to not be able to find content ideas.

And you are not alone.

What mistake I made was I always wanted to create completely new original content on the internet.

This is a myth. If you running behind originality

I learned too late this lesson.

If you are also new in the content creation journey then I guarantee you that after posting 10–15 content pieces you will going to suffer and feel a shortage of content ideas.

The most obvious question that comes to mind is:

  • I have time
  • I also want to write
  • But what should I write?

A 3-step process that never lets me struggle to find content ideas:

  1. In your niche find your top competitor see their best-performing content take ideas from that(If you don’t have ideas then knock on your competitor's door to get them).
  2. Public sites are good if you don’t have an audience base best for me is Answer the Public but Quora and Google FAQ is also good option.
  3. Create an avatar of your audience in mind and observe what problem that avatar faces, put your foot in their shoes, and what type of content they need(this will work if you know your audience).

Originality is a myth.

Observe what your audience wants.

See your competitor's comment section.

What your competitor is doing and replicate it if your mind is not working but don’t sit with an empty hand.

Use your GOAL to know your Content Need: SECOND

If you know my goal is selling informational products then automatically you will be going to start creating content around your product benefit, how it helps, why people need it, what problem it solves all the stuff.

If you know my goal is to get a client then you start creating content according to your client's need, what problem your client facing, and what type of content you create that helps your client.

The thing is simple if you know your goal why I am creating content then you don’t need to see your neighbour's house for what to make today.

Always write your goal and one thing that follows I always create 3 goals a LONG TERM(more than 1 year long), SHORT TERM(3 or 6 months long), and MINUTE TERM(week or one month long).

Goal is important.

“Without some goals and some efforts to reach it, no man can live.” — John Dewey

When your goal is clear you can start seeing speed in your creation.

CLARITY first, SPEED second.

What is your SOP: THIRD

SOP is good If so many people working on a single content you can use Trello or Notion.

But I writing this article for a one-man army so I need to take a U-turn.

If you handling everything from ideas generation to posting then always keep your SOP in a small diary(or single page).

Before starting your creation process. See that page and pass your content through every single step that you write on that page.

You can add many according to your need but in my diary, I have only 5 most important.

My SOP looks like this:

  • First, write the title then the subheading then the detail body
  • Minimum 2-minute reads/ 600 words
  • 30 minute research before writing
  • After the third draft hit publish
  • 2 images minimum

This is my SOP that all my medium articles go through.

You can create your own after reading this and create your own SOP.

4 Footsteps Need to Change in Content WORKFLOW: FOURTH

This thing I learned in a paid course and I am very shocked to see How I make this mistake every day.

Actually what my content workflow is:

Idea come(make title).

  • Write
  • Edit
  • Publish

But what I learned in the course and this is really so astonishing for me.

Now my content workflow looks like this:

  • Outline(title + target audience)
  • First draft
  • Editing
  • Content designing and formatting
  • Final draft(always take 2 draft)
  • Publish

Take time to hit the publish button daily.

Writing or creating content is important but a blueprint is more important which takes more time.

STYLE Guide(I introduce this too late): FIFTH

It is very simple as a beginner you don’t know much or anything about this and I was also introduced to this thing 2 days ago.

5 most important spots of content style:

  1. Define Your Brand and Audience
  2. Document Basic Formatting Rules
  3. Avtar of your audience
  4. Establish Voice and Tone
  5. Address Specific Writing Considerations

You need to shit with paper and pen and question every step.

My next detailed article also coming on this topic — Style guide.

Update and maintain your content style guide regularly this is a journey you can’t stick to one format in this fast-changing internet world.

Always keep your eye on your competitor.

Conclusion

Content creation framework is used in corporate and big content creation agencies As a beginner creator you don’t know much about these things.

As a newibe creator you only know is create some stuff and publish.

But when you start growing then you realize that you are lacking in something and actually that would be nothing but a content creation framework

I can’t make a list of 5 important points from this article and conclude it.

This is a mini course and I don’t want to ruin this article's spirit in 5 points.
